Prof. Vinodh Edward is a distinguished figure in the field of clinical trials and healthcare research, with a special focus on TB and HIV. He has over 20 years of experience as a basic sciences researcher and is a registered professional natural scientist. Prof. Edward has been instrumental in building clinical trials capacity in South Africa and has worked in various leadership roles, including as Regional Chief Operating Officer for Health Research and Principal Investigator for significant HIV studies. 

His work with the Advancing Care and Treatment for TB/HIV Consortium highlights his commitment to fighting these diseases. Additionally, he has held academic positions, including Honourary Associate Professor at the University of KwaZulu-Natal and Adjunct Assistant Professor at Yale School of Public Health. Prof. Edward’s educational background includes a Bachelor of Science Degree in Microbiology and Physiology and a Doctor of Technology Degree in Biotechnology.
